The 2011 Season

9th Hour’s 2011 inaugural season consisted of a diverse range of productions in a variety of venues and locations across the region. The first production, Eyes Upon the Cross, was a gritty and contemporary look at the crucifixion story from the varying perspectives of those who might have been there, performed both at The Gathering House and the Richcraft Theatre at the Shenkman Arts Centre in April. Children’s Letters to God was an off-Broadway musical for families, featuring an entire cast of young artists between ages 10 and 15, and was performed for schools as well as at The Gathering House and Centerpointe Theatres in September. The final show of the season was an intimate Christmas musical based on the short stories of O. Henry called The Gifts of the Magi. Packed with both ironic humour and tender moments, it was performed at The Gathering House and at several other venues while touring across the region in November.
